The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for directing the Regional Accounts team to achieve DA sales and profit targets quarterly and annually. The incumbent will manage Regional Sales reps and agents by planning, organizing and directing all the sales operations and related activities. He/she will manage all regional sales reps and agents from ON to Maritimes and will be based out of the Samsung offices in Mississauga.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs & strategies that will increase the sell-through and sell-to business of the product lines for both new and existing accounts.
  • Manage relationships with key accounts to build long term trust and to maximize business opportunities.
  • Manage and support a team of Sales Representatives.
  • Manage personnel and coach team members to develop skills and abilities.
  • Work closely with marketing team for promotions to maximize sales opportunities and minimize channel conflict within each region.
  • Oversee weekly/monthly product forecast by model, by dealer and ensure inventory forecast matches promotional calendar by account.
  • Ensure adequate time is spent on the road working with each rep in developing their territory. 40% of this role must be on the road with key accounts and sales managers.
  • Must have ability to increase the level of service within current group of dealers but also have ability to increase the reach of the brand by opening new accounts with his/her reps.
  • Must have ability to think critically about his/her territory to maximize sales and profitability while ensuring a strong affinity to the division and the brand.
  • Must be able to instill a strong level of standard operating procedures in line with company guidelines and requirements.
  • Must be able work independently to drive the company's agenda.

Requirements

Education:

  • University education preferred (min. Bachelor's), MBA (a plus)

Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products.
  • The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous related opportunities and programs in a changing DA industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in organizations: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, presentation skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct supervision

Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7 years + of related experience, in the Home Appliance business strongly preferred
