Position Summary
Acuren is currently seeking an NDT Technician to support projects in the Pacific Region, specifically Nanaimo, BC. If you're looking for a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for professional growth and skill development, this is the opportunity for you.
- Start date January 2026
- Position will be up to 30 hrs./week
- Rate will be up to $48.12 to 57.36/hr. depending on certifications
Responsibilities
Perform Non-Destructive Testing – Conduct inspections using methods such as ultrasonic (UT), radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), or eddy current (ET) according to established procedures and standards.
Interpret and Evaluate Results – Analyze test data and results, identify discontinuities or defects, and determine if they meet applicable codes, standards, or client specifications.
Prepare Reports and Documentation – Accurately document inspection results, maintain records, and generate reports for review by Level 3 technicians or engineering personnel.
Maintain Equipment and Ensure Compliance – Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot NDT equipment, and ensure all testing is performed safely and in accordance with industry codes and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- CGSB Certification
- CWB level 2 Certification
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
- Valid driver's license
- IRATA training or willingness to obtain is an asset
