Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a fast-paced retail environment, requiring strong leadership, organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Bilingual abilities and prior retail management experience are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Lead and supervise store staff, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance team performance.
  • Manage merchandising efforts to optimize product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts, participate in interviewing candidates, and assist with onboarding new employees.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Support marketing initiatives to promote store products and brand awareness.
  • Assist with purchasing decisions and inventory management to ensure stock availability.
  • Maintain organized records related to payroll, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
  • Uphold store policies regarding safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or team management experience within retail sales or store management roles.
  • Strong background in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation, recruiting, training & development, and marketing activities.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on motivating teams and fostering a positive work environment.
