As part of Home Hardware Stores Limited—Canada's largest independent home improvement retailer—our locations are among the top-performing stores in the region. We're expanding again and seeking a DZ Licensed Yard Associate to join our hardworking, customer-focused team.

Position Details

  • Location: Delhi, Ontario
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks per shift
  • Position Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Reports to: Yard Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a 0–8 ton boom delivery truck (training available if not certified)
  • Safely load, secure, and deliver building materials to customer sites
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain truck cleanliness
  • Work directly with customers to gather and load purchased materials
  • Pick and stage orders for delivery or pickup
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient yard area
  • Conduct regular product cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory
  • Lift, carry, and move materials (e.g., drywall, trim, doors) including up and down stairs
  • Operate forklifts both in-yard and at job sites

Requirements

  • Valid DZ Driver's License with a clean abstract and minimum 3 years of insured driving experience
  • 0–8 ton boom certificate (or willingness to train and obtain certification)
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and handling sheet goods
  • Available to work Saturdays as part of a rotating schedule
  • Previous forklift experience (preferred) or willingness to learn
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Positive "can-do" attitude and reliable work ethic
  • Experience with inventory organization is an asset
