Structural Draftsperson

Overview:

We are looking to hire a Structural Draftsperson for our company to assist in preparing detailed structural drawings and plans, supporting engineering and construction teams with accurate and precise drafting work.

Duties:

– Interpret preliminary designs, engineering notes, and technical data to produce accurate structural drawings and plans.

– Use CAD software and drafting tools to generate detailed layouts and blueprints for structural components.

– Build digital 3D models (including BIM) to visually represent the structure and ensure functional accuracy.

– Prepare and organize drawing packages, including construction details and supporting documentation.

– Review drawings to ensure compliance with technical standards and design requirements.

– Collaborate with engineers and architects to clarify specifications and modify drawings as needed.

– Estimate materials, labor, and construction costs based on draft plans and specifications.

Requirements:

– Completion of a two- to three-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field is usually required
