This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Candidates should possess a valid commercial driver's license and have experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair.

Duties

  • Safely operate trucks and freight vehicles to pick up and deliver goods according to schedule
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery status or issues

Skills

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating freight trucks and heavy equipment such as forklifts
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations for commercial driving
  • Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy equipment, and perform vehicle inspections
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
