Position Description

WWF-Canada seeks a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative individual to serve as our next Intern, Development. This role will support WWF-Canada's Climb for Nature events — including the CN Tower Climb, BC Place Climb, and Anywhere Climb — with a focus on corporate and employee climb teams, including volunteer groups.

The Intern
will contribute to the success of these flagship events by assisting with team registrations, event logistics, post-event reporting, and corporate partner stewardship. The Intern will also work closely with the Corporate Partnerships, Marketing and Communications, and Donor Relations teams to ensure seamless processes and engaging experiences for corporate participants and volunteers, helping to advance WWF-Canada's fundraising and partnership goals.

Key Responsibilities

General Administrative Support

  • Manage team registrations, setups, modifications, and removals in WWF-Canada's fundraising platform.
  • Assist with registration processes and provide technical support to corporate partners and employees regarding team participation.
  • Process payments and donations in compliance with internal guidelines.
  • Redirect partnership inquiries from WWF's general inbox to the Corporate Partnerships team for follow-up.
  • Assist the Development team, as required, with other related duties contributing to the mandate and successful operation of the department and organization.

Corporate Partnership Team Support

  • Track corporate donations, monitor fundraising progress, and ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding contributions.
  • Generate, analyze, and manage reports through Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to provide insights on corporate engagement, participation, and progress toward fundraising goals.
  • Provide regular updates to internal teams and corporate partners on fundraising progress and engagement trends.
  • Assist in planning and executing office visits, mascot appearances, and employee tabling events with corporate partners and prospects.
  • Represent WWF at corporate events to build awareness, foster connections, and inspire participation.

Climb for Nature Event Support

  • Coordinate registration, event-day logistics, and post-event follow-ups to maximize participation and engagement in WWF's CN Tower, BC Place climb, and Anywhere Climb.
  • Serve as a point of contact for corporate groups volunteering in WWF's CN Tower and BC Place Climb events.

What We Are Looking For

  • 1+ years of related experience in customer service, relationship management, general office administration, etc.
  • 6+ months of experience in the charitable sector, an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with supporters, volunteers and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making with donors/customers.
  • Patience and ability to adapt quickly to new or unique situations when working closely with donors.
  • Excellent technical skills with Microsoft Applications, specifically Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Understanding of conservation issues in Canada and around the world, acquired through education or job experience.
  • Proven skills in multi-tasking within a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively in a team setting.
  • Experience using a CRM database an asset.

Other Information

  • Local and national travel will be required for this role to attend events.
  • Must be available to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends to attend events.
  • Individual will be required to work either in office or in-person at events between 1 to 4 days per week.
