Role Overview
Under the supervision of the CEO, the Centre Manager is a senior leader with full ownership and accountability for the overall performance and success of the Centre. The Centre Manager operates the Centre as a business unit, ensuring financial targets, operational standards, safety requirements, and customer experience expectations are consistently met or exceeded. This role leads teams, drives strong program performance, and upholds the mission, values, and brand standards of KidsCanSwim
.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience managing teams in high-end restaurants, hotels, or premium hospitality environments and truly understands the importance of exceptional customer experience. This individual is service-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading in a fast-paced, people-focused setting, with a strong ability to set standards, coach teams, and deliver consistently outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage Centre financial performance, including budgets, payroll approvals, expense control, cash reconciliation, and KPI tracking
- Lead daily Centre operations to ensure safety, compliance, quality control, and exceptional customer experience
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive, accountable workplace culture
- Ensure proper staffing coverage, succession planning, and ongoing leadership development
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues; remain accountable for Centre performance at all times
- Uphold all child safety, health, and safeguarding standards as non-negotiable priorities
- Act as a brand ambassador, building strong relationships with families, staff, and community partners
- Communicate clearly and professionally with senior leadership, providing solutions and recommendations when issues arise
Schedule & Availability
- 44-hour work week
- On-site schedule: Noon to 8:00 p.m.
- One weekend day per week required
- On-call availability required to support operational needs and escalated issues
Qualifications & Attributes
- Proven leadership experience in operations, multi-department management, or business unit management
- Strong financial and KPI management skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and highly organized
- Commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional customer service
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
Compensation:
$66,000 – $75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonus.
