Job Overview

This position is for on Call PSWs. Right now we are hiring a PSW to attend to patient care at the Chatham Kent hospital during the hours 7am to 10am and 2 to 5pm. Daily. Parking included.

Experience is preferred with diapering, and a caring disposition. Offloading rotating and providing updates.

You must speak and understand English as this position calls for you to speak to nurses and drs as required and to keep records.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the attention and help required for daily living activities. For this on call position. Location and hours will vary.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, diapering, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Remind client to take medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
  • Assist with mobility and physical exercises to promote independence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers regarding client progress and needs.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or behavior.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or home care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform meal preparation that meets dietary restrictions.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to pass background checks as required by federal regulations.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work on scheduled hours as needed.
  • Be available to work extra hours as requested.
