We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative ETL QA (Test Data & ETL Coordination Specialist) to manage test data requests and coordinate ETL operations across multiple teams and stakeholders.

This role is essential for ensuring the availability, accuracy, and timeliness of test data and ETL processes in the test environment—directly supporting smooth, efficient, and high-quality testing cycles.

Key Responsibilities Test Data Requests Management

  • Oversee intake and triage of test data requests via Jira or other ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with requesters to clarify requirements, set expectations, and ensure request completeness.
  • Assess data needs and consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when necessary.
  • Fulfill data requests by:
  • Locating and validating existing test data.
  • Updating or refreshing data as needed.
  • Creating new test data manually when required.
  • Maintain accurate ticket statuses, documentation, and audit trails throughout request lifecycles.

ETL Coordination in Test Environment

  • Coordinate ETL execution across multiple teams to ensure sequential and timely completion of tasks.
  • Validate ETL steps and verify data integrity post-execution.
  • Communicate ETL status updates, blockers, and issues with stakeholders.
  • Manage ad-hoc or non-standard ETL runs, aligning execution plans across teams.

Required Technical Skills

  • SQL: Strong proficiency in writing complex queries to retrieve, validate, and manipulate test data.
  • ETL Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or equivalent.
  • Data Analysis: Skilled in validating datasets for accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
  • Jira: Proficient in managing and tracking tickets, workflows, and dashboards.
  • Excel: Advanced skills for data manipulation, validation, and reporting.
  • Scripting (Preferred): Familiarity with Python or Shell scripting for automation or data prep.
  • Version Control: Basic understanding of Git or similar tools for managing data scripts/configurations.
  • Test Environments: Working knowledge of test environment setup, data refresh cycles, and dependencies.

  • Strong Communication: Ability to explain complex data/ETL concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
