Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Duties

  • Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
  • Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using Dentrix or similar dental management software
  • Support the dental team during procedures, including sterilization of instruments and setup of treatment areas
  • Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Assist in pediatric dentistry or orthodontic procedures as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with infection control protocols
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the dental office records

Skills

  • Proficiency with Dentrix or other dental practice management software
  • Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Experience with dental assisting techniques is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
  • Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive patient experiences
  • Previous dental office experience preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
