Your Role In Supporting Our Members
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of technology solutions that meet business needs while aligning with Vancity's architectural principles and technology direction. You will translate requirements into solution designs, ensure systems work together seamlessly, and provide leadership and guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle. We're looking for someone with strong technical and business acumen, who thrives in collaborative environments and can drive scalable, secure, and integrated solutions.
This is a
Full-time, Permanent
role based at our
Vancity head office
and will report directly to the
Manager, Enterprise Architecture
. We are open to candidates based out of British Columbia or Ontario.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Solution Architecture or related roles
- Experience designing and delivering solutions that integrate applications, data, and cloud technologies
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration frameworks, and API architecture
- Knowledge of data and security architecture
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks
- Familiarity with architectural methods and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
- Basic project management skills
- Ability to evaluate vendor and third-party solutions for fit and scalability
- Strong communication skills to support decision-making with technical and business stakeholders
Extra Skills That Set You Apart
- TOGAF or other architecture certification
- Experience in the credit union or financial industry
- Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments

What You'll Earn
This role offers a salary range of
$91,000 to $136,000 per annum
. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements
