We are currently seeking a full-time HR Generalist to join our team. Based in Langley, British Columbia, the HR Generalist will oversee all aspects of the Human Resources Department, including: full-cycle recruiting, training and development, benefits administration, employee relations, legal compliance, immigration matters, and administrative support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job descriptions, postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, salary analysis, offers, and onboarding and orientation.
- Advise management on HR-related matters such as employee relations, employment legislation, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, succession planning, and talent development.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives that foster the company's growth and employee engagement.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual performance review process.
- Administer benefit programs including employee registrations and changes.
- Prepare HR documentation including employment contracts, promotion letters, letters of employment, disciplinary actions, and termination notices.
- Assist managers with disciplinary meetings, terminations, and workplace investigations.
- Support employees with immigration matters, including work permits, visa renewals, permanent residency, and citizenship applications.
- Ensure compliance with BC Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation.
- Perform regular audits of HR best practices, salary trends, and employment legislation.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as required.

Employment Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations.
- 2 to 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or another relevant role.
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with the main HR functions.
- Experience in the construction industry (an asset).
- Strong ability to multitask and adapt to last-minute changes.
- Ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent knowledge of BC employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and navigate through grey areas.
