The Hillman Group services a wide variety of customers in the Automotive, Industrial, Retail and Agricultural channels. We have products in Home Depot, Lowes, Canadian Tire, Walmart and more Have you ever done any home improvement projects? If so, you likely know our products.
The Hillman Group Canada employs over 700 employees in 2 manufacturing facilities and 7 distribution facilities across Canada. We have a great group of professionals whose dedication and teamwork form the backbone of our company.
Job Summary
The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that product is merchandised on the shelve in a timely manner, setting up and tearing down displays and clearing any unwanted products from the shelves. The Merchandiser is required to visit different big box retail stores weekly.
Essential Job Functions *
- Ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately and strategically with proper signage and shelf placement.
Build and maintain product displays.
Maintain housekeeping standards.
Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of the Detailer or Detailer Supervisor.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Follow store safety rules and work in a safe and healthy manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
0-2 years as a representative or similar job in a big box retailer environment is preferred.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Outlook.
- Performs function with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
