Deputy Construction Manager

AtkinsRéalis is hiring a hiring an experienced Deputy Construction Manager to join our team in Toronto. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The Deputy Construction Manager will be based on an exciting major airport infrastructure project based in the West end of Toronto.
Your role- Deputizes for the Construction Manager as required to support the oversight and coordination of the construction activities.
- Ensure that all construction works are in accordance with design specifications and are carried out in accordance with budget and quality standards.
- Provide field execution leadership and a broad range of high quality and reliable construction expertise in a proactive manner.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to construction personnel on site
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assists the Construction Manager in the execution and planning of all phases within the project
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in construction management.
- Minimum 5 years of on-site experience working in highly regulated, complex operational environments
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
- Good technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
- Demonstrable experience in providing reporting to enable effective decision making.
- Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings / workshops with groups of stakeholders.
- Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset
