Role Description

This is an on-site contract role for a Freelance Web Developer based in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. The Web Developer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing company websites, ensuring they align with the latest web standards and company goals. Key tasks include front-end and back-end development, integrating databases, collaborating with teams on design and functionality, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the role emphasizes delivering responsive, user-friendly web experiences aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience with back-end technologies such as PHP, Python, , and database management (MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web hosting environments
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams to meet project goals
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress or Drupal is a plus
  • Adaptability to evolving web technologies and trends
