Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated
Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our Emergency Department team in
British Columbia
. In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will play a critical role in delivering life-saving care to patients experiencing a wide range of urgent and emergent health conditions. Your ability to think quickly, act calmly under pressure, and provide compassionate care will make a significant difference in patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, and provide advanced wound and trauma care
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients
- Respond to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests, strokes, and trauma cases
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and intervene as needed
- Uphold infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards in all aspects of care

Requirements – What You'll Bring
Current registration and good standing with the
BCCNM
as a
Registered Nurse
1–2 years of recent experience in emergency, trauma, or acute care settings preferred
Valid
CPR (BLS)
and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification
TNCC, PALS, or other emergency-related certifications are assets
Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure
Commitment to patient safety, dignity, and culturally competent care
