Senior Java Developer:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Java Developer for an 11-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client's Mississauga office.

Senior Java Developer - Job Description:
This role involves leading the architectural design and integration of solutions within scrum teams. The Senior Java Developer will collaborate with various teams to ensure the delivery of cohesive and efficient technical solutions that align with enterprise standards and the technical vision.

Senior Java Developer - Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and integration of solutions within scrum teams.
  • Work with architects and technical leads to design scalable, secure, and robust systems.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams, guiding them on best practices.
  • Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Lead and manage the development team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Senior Java Developer - Mandatory Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in designing and developing applications.
  • 12+ years of Java & J2EE experience.
  • Strong understanding of web application architectures and design patterns.
  • Experience with Microservices architecture and UI frameworks like React, Angular.
  • Extensive experience in designing non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, design, and SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Senior Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience mentoring junior developers.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps approaches.
  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of messaging technologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

Senior Java Developer – Assignment Length:
This is an 11-month contract position.
