The Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing small electronics. This role involves replacing hardware components, fixing software issues and ensuring all devices are restored to proper working condition.

This is an on-site position at our Repair facility in Mississauga with a schedule of Monday- Friday 10:30am to 7:00pm

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in cell phones, laptops and tablets.

  • Replace or repair defective components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, keyboards and motherboards.

  • Conduct functionality test to ensure successful repairs and quality standards.

  • Stay up to date with the latest devices models, and repair techniques.

  • Keep the work area clean, organized and compliant with safety standards.

  • Perform soldering and board-level repairs when required.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet repair deadlines.

  • Perform electromechanical assembly using hand and electric tools.

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend solutions or process improvements.

  • Physically move material as needed.

  • Use a computer to enter data into the company database.

  • Ensure repairs are completed within set turnaround times to meet customer expectations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What are the requirements for this position?

  • Post-secondary degree or certificate(s)

  • Previous experience repairing smartphones, laptops and tablets.

  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and device operating systems.

  • Proficiency with repair tools and equipment.

  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and provide effective solutions.

  • Strong communication.

  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

  • Must be able to read and understand schematics.

  • Being able to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment 

  • This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk.

  • Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry, and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.

Pay Range:

$40, $66,200.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
