Under the direction and leadership of the Supervisor/Lead hand, the Cladder/Roofer Carpenter assumes responsibility for all general carpentry duties required on commercial scope construction projects. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the construction & renovations of modular building components including roofing and siding

Assist in the construction & renovations of modular building components including roofs and siding

Gather material needed for construction & renovation of units.

Use hand and power tools

Follow all safety procedures

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous Carpenter experience

Valid Fall protection, CSTS-0.9/20, WHMIS 2015, and Standard First Aid an asset

Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions

General construction safety knowledge

Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience

Strong focus on customer satisfaction

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently in a demanding environment

A team player with strong people skills

Physical Requirements

Stand or walk for long periods of time

Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Climbing stairs/ladders regularly

Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
