Experience in food handling, customer service, and kitchen operations is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs
- Ensure proper food handling and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with meal setup, delivery, and cleanup to maintain a clean dining environment
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including cooking and portioning
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation
- Provide friendly and respectful customer service to residents during meal times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Support residents with their dining experience, ensuring comfort and satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices is highly desirable
- Experience with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents or patients
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
This role is essential for ensuring residents receive high-quality meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Candidates who are organized, reliable, and passionate about providing excellent service will thrive in this position.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $18.00-$18.60 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
