Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs
  • Ensure proper food handling and adherence to food safety standards
  • Assist with meal setup, delivery, and cleanup to maintain a clean dining environment
  • Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including cooking and portioning
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation
  • Provide friendly and respectful customer service to residents during meal times
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
  • Support residents with their dining experience, ensuring comfort and satisfaction

Experience

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices is highly desirable
  • Experience with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations is beneficial
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules and responsibilities
  • Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents or patients
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail

This role is essential for ensuring residents receive high-quality meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Candidates who are organized, reliable, and passionate about providing excellent service will thrive in this position.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$18.60 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
