Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Aircraft Structural Designer (15+ years) with extensive experience in aircraft structure design, system installation layouts, and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) mounting. The candidate will lead design activities, ensure configuration integrity, and drive high-quality design deliverables meeting airworthiness and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of aircraft structural components and system installations.
  • Design and integrate system routing (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, ECS, fuel, etc.) with structural provisions.
  • Develop and validate LRU mounting solutions ensuring maintainability, accessibility, and structural integrity.
  • Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA V5/V6 or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Perform interface definition between structure, systems, and equipment installations.
  • Review and validate stress and structural analysis inputs in collaboration with the stress team.
  • Ensure compliance with airworthiness standards (CS/FAR 25, MIL, or equivalent) and internal design practices.
  • Create bill of materials (BOMs), installation drawings, and change notes as per configuration management processes.
  • Participate in design reviews (PDR/CDR) and coordinate with manufacturing, production, and installation teams.
  • Mentor junior designers and ensure adherence to design quality and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,522.22-$126,790.15 per year
