THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Complete and oversee set-up and line changeovers.
  • Coordinate, delegate, and supervise work of department employees.
  • Conduct initial and hourly quality checks and verify lot and item numbers.
  • Monitor line performance to ensure it meets production standards.
  • Address employee concerns, provide coaching and guidance, and monitor employee performance.
  • Accurately document all production materials used and line stoppages in the ERP system.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete any minor adjustments.
  • Assist team with line production and housekeeping of the packaging area.
  • Properly lockout and restart equipment according to safety procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining food safety standards and reporting food safety issues to QA immediately.
  • Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available to work Tuesday - Saturday 
  • 1-3 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Read, write, and communicate (English)
  • Proficient mathematical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a cold environment
