Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive handyman to join our facilities maintenance team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our properties by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills to perform maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and customer service are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently to minimize downtime
  • Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed using appropriate techniques and safety standards
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose problems accurately
  • Supervise or assist in maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations
  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate repairs with minimal disruption to operations
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing environments
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, and schematic interpretation
  • Ability to perform electrical work safely and effectively in compliance with industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly
  • Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and facilities maintenance best practices
  • Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality assurance
