Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Support Engineer who loves Linux and is passionate about problem-solving to join our IT system & product support team. In this role, you will provide technical support to our clients, troubleshoot Linux system's software and hardware issues, and assist in maintaining our product codebases and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer networking and operating systems, Linux environments, and C/C++ programing, along with excellent communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service and support.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys debugging, performance tuning, and learning how large-scale Linux systems run in the real world.

Duties

  • Provide first-level product technical support for customer reported issues across different deployment environments.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by effectively communicating with users to understand their needs and provide timely resolutions.
  • Build and maintain great customer relationships.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software and Linux system issues reported by customers or internal teams.
  • Read, understand, and modify existing C/C++ codebases to investigate bugs or performance issues.
  • Perform software troubleshooting to resolve application-related issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with senior support or software engineers on complex technical problems while documenting solutions for future reference.
  • Assist with build, deployment, and configuration tasks in test and production environments.

Experience

  • Familiarity with technical support concepts, including help desk operations and IT support procedures.
  • Understanding of Internet/TCP/IP networking principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with users at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and basic shell scripting.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++ (understanding of pointers, memory management, debugging, etc.).
