The Heritage Retirement Residence is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to support our residents with grocery runs, medical appointments, and weekly community excursions. This role works closely with our Life Enrichment team to ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported while travelling.

Schedule:

  • Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  • Daytime hours (exact times provided in advance)
  • Set schedule — reliability is essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport residents to and from outings, appointments, and excursions
  • Assist residents with boarding and exiting the bus as needed
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents and staff
  • Complete basic vehicle safety checks and report any concerns
  • Support a positive, calm, and welcoming environment during outings

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 4 unrestricted driver's licence
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector required)
  • Experience working with seniors or vulnerable populations is an asset
  • Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and professionalism
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team
