The Position:
The Vice President, Mineral Processing is focused on all Mineral Processing aspects of the Company's mining operations, development and construction projects.
NOC 00015
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical and operational leadership to the process plant and metallurgical teams in line with the strategic direction and production goals of the company.Provide technical expertise and guidance in the area of mineral processing (e.g. recovery, throughput, cost efficiencies, etc.) .Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.Ensure consistent achievement of production targets and metallurgical performance. Liaises with all the other departmental functions to ensure efficient and safe production at DSV operational locations.Reviews and updates mineral processing policies and procedures to ensure leading practices are in place.Lead the mineral processing planning and execution of processing projects from concept to commissioning. Participates in due diligence activities as required.Ensure all processing activities comply with environmental regulations and company sustainability goals.Completes other duties or special projects as they may be assigned from time to time.Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Science or a Technical diploma in Mineral Processing.Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with a focus in Metallurgy is an asset.Minimum of 10 years experience in mining and proven leadership in mineral processing with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Experience in underground and open pit mines with experience in development, construction and operations.Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.English written and spoken is required.Experience in Latin America and ability to speak Spanish is an asset.Workplace Conditions:
