As part of the Digital Technology System Operator team, the IT Specialist I-IV is responsible for application development which includes coding, testing, deploying and maintaining new software applications as well as supporting current software applications. The IT Specialist will report to Digital Technology and work out of our Energy Control Center.

Key functions include:


• Coding, testing, debugging, and performance monitoring of applications


• Designing and analyzing new and existing applications


• Using IT programming/testing methodologies


• On-call support on a rotating basis

Our ideal teammate will have:


• Bachelor of Computer Science
AND
one year of experience in software development.

OR


• Two-year college diploma in relevant discipline
AND
three years of relevant work experience

The following skills would be an
asset
:


• C#


• Entity Framework


• SQL Server


• React


• JavaScript/TypeScript


• HTML/CSS

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
