Mobilia Interiors Inc., a leader in contemporary home furnishings, is looking for an on the road Furniture Repair Technician to join our team.

Reporting to the Supervisor Dispatch and Service, the Furniture Repair Technician is responsible to ensure that only top-quality merchandise is sent to our customers. He/she is also responsible for providing courteous service to our clients in the Greater Toronto area, during on-site in home repairs.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assess damages and chooses the appropriate method of repair for wood and/or leather furniture;
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to wood and/or leather products;
  • Repair minor defects including staining, finishing, applying toners, highlights, glazes, lacquer or shades as necessary to obtain the desired finish;
  • Equalize grooves with filler and sand the finish as required;
  • Provide professional quality in-home service repairs and product assembly;
  • Daily interaction with customers, management and customer service agents.

Requirements:

  • Very good knowledge of wood and/or leather furniture, or construction;
  • Previous experience as a Furniture Repair Technician, repaired wood and/or leather furniture;
  • Ability to safely set up and operate a variety of furniture repair equipment and uses various hand tools;
  • Autonomous and punctual;
  • Comfortable with the public;
  • Good communication and time management skills;
  • Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail.
