We're a locally owned and operated sign and printing company in Ottawa looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with graphics, signage, and creative displays — and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

About the Role

As a Junior Graphic Designer, you'll be involved in every step of the production process — from file setup and printing to laminating and installation. You'll work with a variety of materials and applications, including wall murals, window graphics, decals, and vehicle graphics.

This is an ideal role for someone who's creative, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with both design software and physical production tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up print-ready files for production
  • Operate printing, laminating, and cutting equipment
  • Assist with the installation of wall murals, window graphics, decals, and signage
  • Work with different materials and surfaces, including vehicles
  • Help build and assemble displays and structural elements for various projects
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
  • Comfortable learning new equipment and installation techniques
  • Not afraid of heights or hands-on work
  • Positive attitude, punctual, and reliable (early morning starts required)
  • Good with tools and craftsmanship; enjoys hands-on building
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
