Job Overview

Must love kids If you are interested in working in a friendly, rewarding environment then this is the job for you. We are looking to hire fun-loving, nurturing, responsible individuals who are well-engaged and self-motivated to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Craigleith Ski Club Playroom.

Duties include but are not limited to providing quality child care for children ages 0 – 5 years old. Leading and organizing age-appropriate activities such as songs & music, story time, arts & crafts, and fun physical activities for little ones aged 0 – 5 years. To maintain a safe, healthy & clean space for children to thrive. Follow established procedures while assisting with light cleaning and administration duties including documentation of daily logs, attendance lists, and administering wellness checks.

Saturdays and Sundays 8:15 to 4 ( with the chance of additional hours).Hours also available holidays and through the week of March break. Ski season runs till he end of March.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Provide care for children, including feeding, changing, and assisting with personal hygiene.
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional growth.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area.
  • Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a babysitting, classroom or caregiving setting is preferred.
  • Ability to engage children through creative play and structured activities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • A background in supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • First Aid and CPR are an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $17.25-$18.25 per hour
