Duties

  • Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related merchandise with enthusiasm and expert advice
  • Maintain attractive displays through effective merchandising and stock organization to enhance store appeal
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing floral and gardening products, and conducting stock counts regularly
  • Support landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and gardening when needed to ensure the overall appearance of the store environment
  • Promote e-commerce options by guiding customers on online ordering or pickup services when applicable
  • Communicate effectively with team members across departments to coordinate sales efforts and maintain store operations
  • Uphold safety standards during all duties, especially when handling tools or heavy merchandise

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
  • Basic proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and merchandising principles
  • Organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and keep displays attractive and well-maintained
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting flowers or supplies safely
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment with a lively team dedicated to delivering exceptional service

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
