Jack and Roll Supervisor

ENTREC Alberta Ltd., a diversified trucking company (a member of LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies) is recruiting a skilled and experienced Jack and Roll Supervisor to join its growing team in Grande Prairie or Nisku, Alberta.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including rigging, lifting and jack & roll operations, as well as personnel management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment.
• Monitor operations and adjust as necessary to optimize efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and lifting systems to identify any installation and maintenance or repair needs.
• Coordinate with all levels of management, staff and clients to ensure effective operational completeness.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment usage, and personnel performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills and Requirements:

• 2+ years previous experience in a supervisory/lead role in the rigging and hoisting/jack & roll industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of rigging and jack & roll operations, lifting equipment, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
• Experience in training crew members.
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with crew members, vendors, and clients.
• Lead by example in instilling a strong safety culture.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to read lift plans and site layout.
• Valid Class 5 with Q endorsement or Class 1 with Air Brakes is preferred.
• Journeyman, Boom Truck or Crane and Hoisting Apprentice is preferred.
