Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a hotel or laundry setting is preferred.

Duties

  • Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens, towels, and other items as required.
  • Sort, fold, and organize laundry items for easy access and distribution.
  • Inspect items for stains or damage before washing and report any issues to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and machinery.
  • Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
  • Provide excellent service by ensuring timely delivery of clean items to designated areas.

Skills

  • Previous hotel experience is a plus, providing familiarity with the specific needs of hospitality laundry services.
  • Strong knowledge of laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and ironing techniques.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify stains or damage on fabrics.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
