ROLE: Personal Support Worker |Home Care Client | 2 HR Day Shifts| Richmondhill, ON

Start Date- November 24, 2025

Wage- $28/HR

Day shifts (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30AM- 11:30AM)

AGENCY CONTRACT THROUGH HERO CARE:

HERO CARE has a proven track record in providing our contract/travel nurses with a variety of exciting, positive and unique working experiences. Our team is now expanding our staffing services to provide contracts to Personal Support Workers across Canada

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:

  • 1 YEAR MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AS A Personal Support Worker
  • Must be ability to operate under pressured under a moments notice
  • Vulnerable Sector Screen renewed within the year
  • ***Professional Liability Insurance (OPSWA) MANDATORY***

SKILLS & ABILITY:

  • Overall competency in working under pressure
  • Experience in providing general care and support
  • Knowledge of home care services
  • Proficient in communication

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Following the care plan, observing and reporting any substantial findings and/or changes in patient/resident/client's behaviour to the appropriate registered member of the healthcare team.
  • Perform tasks delegated to them (only if they are trained to perform the delegated task)
  • Assisting with ambulation, positioning, and transferring using mechanical lifts such as a Hoyer lift.
  • Assisting or providing total personal care such as toileting, bathing, and perineal care.
  • Assisting with eating, dressing, and grooming.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Provide personal care and support for clients recovering from surgery
  • Assist with mobility, hygiene, and comfort needs
  • Monitor and report any changes in client condition

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must comply with:

  • Human Resource, Corporation, and Department Policies
  • Must provide satisfactory vulnerable sector check
  • Must have relevant experience and education/certification
