Job Description:

Sungiven Foods Canada Inc. is a Specialty Neighbourhood Grocery with carefully selected private brand products. We pride ourselves as a provider of healthy daily meals. Our products are Natural, Less Processed and contains Fewer Additives for families who love cooking.

Due to rapid growth of our company, we need more talented Department Head Trainee to join us and grow together. The Department Head Trainee will report directly to the Store Manager and support all general duties of store operation, customer services, sales of department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service.
  • Provide management with feedback from customers
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert for your department
  • Ensure the department conditions are consistently upheld to established standards
  • Manages inventory
  • Plans and manages daily/weekly departmental activities and works with team to execute them
  • Smile, greet, and engage with every customer.
  • Assist customers in a warm and friendly manner, including but not limited to directing customer to
  • proper product items, answering grocery questions, and making buying suggestions.
  • Report customer comments, complaints, and suggestions to the Store Manager.
  • Holds team members accountable for providing excellent customer service and recognizes those who excel in it
  • Implements and follows store policies and procedures that prioritize customers, provide high quality service and improve customer satisfaction
  • Works actively with the Management Team to improve the level of customer service.
  • Monitors and improves the productivity of the department and customer service through strong leadership, motivation and team building

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds with frequent push, pull, bend and standing for an extended period of time
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule of weekends, evenings, and early mornings.
  • Loves healthy food and living a healthy lifestyle. Willing to learn about our product and willing to help our customers.

  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Able to speak Chinese is an asset.
