Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their automotive service needs. This role requires a blend of customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and sales ability to ensure a positive experience for our clients while promoting necessary services.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs with professionalism and courtesy.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to provide accurate information about repairs and maintenance options.
- Upsell additional services and products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Prepare detailed service estimates and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records in accordance with dealership policies.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and communicate any updates to customers.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Experience
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership or repair environment is preferred.
- A background as a mechanic or strong mechanical knowledge is highly desirable.
- Proven customer service experience, with a focus on building relationships and resolving issues effectively.
- Sales experience, particularly in upselling automotive products or services, is an asset.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial transactions within a retail or service setting is beneficial.
