Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
for a rapidly growing healthcare organization with multi-site operations across the GTA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-calibre financial executive to lead strategy, elevate financial performance, and build scalable systems that will support the organization's next phase of expansion.
As CFO, you will partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to strengthen financial governance, drive profitability, and build a best-in-class Finance function. You will oversee financial operations, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and cashflow management—while also leading process optimization, KPI development, and long-term strategic planning.
This role is ideal for a visionary finance leader with private equity exposure, strong operational expertise, and proven success improving EBITDA, cost efficiency, and financial transparency in fast-paced, complex, clinical or multi-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Financial Governance
- Partner with the CEO to develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation to support growth and new revenue models.
- Ensure full transparency of financial performance, risks, and opportunities across all levels of leadership.
- Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and tax reporting to the CEO, executive team, and Board.
Financial Operations & Performance Optimization
- Improve cost efficiency through streamlined processes, enhanced controls, and strategic spending initiatives.
- Build dashboards, KPI reporting, and analytics tools to optimize decision-making and performance tracking.
- Oversee monthly close, cashflow management, EBITDA targets, and treasury operations.
- Design and implement systems that shorten month-end close and improve accuracy in reporting and billing.
Multi-Site & Growth Support
- Support expansion initiatives including onboarding new physicians, clinics, and business units.
- Conduct cost analyses, financial modelling, and revenue forecasting to guide strategic decisions.
- Strengthen procurement processes, budget adherence, and departmental financial discipline.
- Enhance collection processes, improve working capital, and optimize financial efficiency across sites.
Leadership, Team Development & Stakeholder Management
- Build and lead a high-performing Finance team—including assessing current staff and recommending recruitment as needed.
- Mentor, coach, and develop the financial department to support long-term capability building.
- Establish strong relationships with banks, auditors, CRA, consultants, and other external partners.
- Lead weekly financial meetings and support executive leadership with data-driven insights.
Compliance, Controls & Risk Management
- Oversee tax strategy, compliance, internal controls, and corporate governance.
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, SOPs, procurement systems, and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Lead annual and quarterly audits, ensuring proper documentation, accuracy, and preparation.
- Manage insurance coverage, corporate policies, and regulatory reporting.
