We are an industry leader in remote monitoring IoT solutions for cathodic protection (CP) and corrosion risk management, and emerging market verticals such as water and gas pressure and flow applications. Our rugged, reliable IoT devices – paired with powerful cloud data management and AI-led analytics tools – helps protect critical infrastructure such as pipelines, tanks, water distribution systems, and gas transmission networks. We deliver real-time, actionable insights that help our customers reduce operational costs, ensure compliance, and extend asset lifespans.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager – IoT to lead our cathodic protection monitoring IoT portfolio, with a defined growth path toward owning additional IoT product lines in water pressure and gas pressure monitoring. You will start by mastering the CP market, then expand your scope into new verticals, helping define our future across critical infrastructure markets. This role blends strategic vision, technical expertise, and market insight, with opportunities to influence both product direction and company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Growth-Oriented Product Strategy
- Own and evolve the IoT product roadmap for CP monitoring, with clear milestones toward owning the water and gas monitoring product management.
- Identify and validate market opportunities in multiple infrastructure sectors.
- Conduct competitive analyses to guide product positioning and expansion strategy.
- Collaborate with software product teams to ensure seamless integration across all brands.
Product Development & Expansion
- Lead the full product lifecycle for assigned IoT – from requirements gathering to market launch and scaling.
- Create detailed market requirements documents (MRDs) that align technical capabilities with business goals.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to achieve performance, quality, and cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., NACE, ISO, CSA, AWWA, API) and regulatory requirements.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their needs shape both existing and future product lines.
- Support sales and marketing teams with technical expertise, product positioning, and training.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
Market & Business Analysis
- Continuously evaluate market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and threats.
- Analyze customer needs, behaviors, and value drivers; identify high-value segments for growth opportunities.
- Build ROI models, cost-benefit analyses, and pricing strategies to support investment decisions.
- Align product features with commercial positioning, ensuring product launches fit market timing and business goals.
Business & Operational Leadership
- Monitor key performance metrics – adoption, reliability, margins – for each product line under your purview.
- Drive build vs. buy decisions and manage key partnership relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Communications, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline) OR equivalent technical background.
- 5+ years in product management or product development for hardware, preferably in industrial IoT, instrumentation, or monitoring equipment.
- Proven track record managing products from concept through launch.
- Strong understanding of cathodic protection systems and/or other pipeline integrity and/or utility technology applications is preferred but can be learned.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and business decision-making skills.
Preferred
- MBA or advanced degree in business.
- Experience with IoT sensors, wireless communications (cellular, satellite, LPWAN), and ruggedized industrial hardware.
- Familiarity with pipeline, water, and gas industry regulations.
- Knowledge of cloud integration, edge computing, and analytics platforms.
Why Join Us?
- Start with ownership of a core hardware product line and grow into a multi-vertical product leader.
- Shape products that protect vital infrastructure and reduce environmental risk.
- Join a high-growth sector with clear opportunities for career advancement.
- Competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development support.
- Flexible remote work and opportunities for on-site collaboration and field experience.
