Wildernes Guide

The Chilko Experience Wilderness Resort is seeking an experienced, versatile Wilderness Guide to join our team for the 2026 season. Our boutique, all-inclusive lodge hosts guests from around the world and offers exceptional adventures in one of the most pristine regions of British Columbia.

We are ideally looking for someone who may be interested in returning for multiple seasons (2–3 years+), allowing them to grow with the role and become a long-term part of our guiding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hiking, wildlife viewing, ATVing, kayaking, lake and river tours, archery and axe-throwing
• Safely operate resort motorboats during lake and river tours
• Teach both spin and fly-fishing to beginners and experienced guests
• Share knowledge of local ecology and natural history
• Contribute to the guest experience across the lodge as needed
• Maintain safety standards and guest comfort at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a wilderness or adventure guide (required)
• Confident teaching both fly-fishing and reel fishing (required)
• Competent operating motorboats (commercial or equivalent experience preferred)
• Wilderness First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and people skills
• Comfortable living and working in a remote, off-grid environment
• Valid driver's licence
• Eligibility to work in Canada
