The bigger picture 

We're looking for a collaborative and self-motivated individual to come on board as a Financing Specialist to support our Business Advisors.

As the Financing Specialist you are responsible for strong business, financial and credit analysis to provide enhanced solutions and recommendations that support our members financial goals and grow our business.  You will work alongside our sales team of Business Advisors to create credit solutions that balance Conexus risk tolerance and deliver a high level of service to our members.  

How you'll be spending your time 

  • Providing high quality business and financial analysis to support the underwriting of credit needs including annual reviews
  • Demonstrating responsible credit and risk analysis and assessment to provide strong credit recommendations that are in alignment with policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with Business Advisors or internal partners to recommend credit solutions and identify opportunities to provide enhanced advice that supports the growth of our members businesses
  • Keeping up-to-date on industry trends

  • Highly analytical with a proven track record in financial and credit/risk analysis
  • Attentive to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and ability to deliver on timelines
  • A collaborator who supports individuals, teams, projects and initiatives within our organization to help us build and grow member relationships
  • Able to balance meeting member goals with understanding risk and operating within the Conexus risk appetite 

  The experience you bring 

  • 3+ years in a business (and/or agriculture) lending role or a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Well-developed credit underwriting and risk assessment ability   
  • Financial statement knowledge including ratio analysis and cash flow
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Agriculture, Finance, or Economics is an asset   

Various Conexus locations will be considered, however not all locations may be able to accommodate this role. 

Salary Range:

$84,030 - $112,040 with 15% Short Term Incentive Target
