Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a combination of hospitality skills, food industry knowledge, and efficient time management to deliver a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and manage waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Take reservations and coordinate seating to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
  • Provide attentive customer service throughout the dining experience, addressing guest needs promptly
  • Assist with food handling, serving, and basic food preparation as needed
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and payments
  • Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations
  • Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing information about menu items and restaurant policies

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
  • Basic math skills for cashiering and billing processes
  • Experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen operations is a plus
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tables efficiently
