Equipment Engineering Specialist
will be responsible for interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, forecasting equipment quantities based on the project's deployment schedules, managing inventory, releasing equipment quantities to contractors and coordinating task and projects deliverables with the other members of the Equipment Engineering team.

As the ideal candidate, you have strong analytical skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem solving. You thrive in a "hands-on" environment and your results orientated style which has contributed to your success in delivering measurable results in a fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Work Orders and Equipment Releases with stakeholders (Ops, Construction, Contractors, etc.)
  • Coordinate shipments and inventory management with the Warehouse and Supply Chain group.
  • Develops and maintains equipment solutions for sites.
  • Manage Equipment releases and Inventory Management.
  • Producing and maintaining all required site documentation, manage purchase orders, track database assets updates.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduation from a diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications program. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous equipment building experience in a cellular or network role is an asset.
  • Experience working on equipment solutions development, inventory management, or complex work order creations.
  • Ability to read schematics and network drawings.
  • Familiarity with traditional Layer2 network environments and protocols such as STP.
  • Familiarity with Layer3 protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP, etc.
  • Familiarity with MPLS forwarding protocols, Segment Routing, etc. is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Windows operating system.
  • A valid driver's license coupled with a satisfactory driver's abstract as limited travel will be required.
