Full Time, Term Position
November 2025 to December 18, 2026
Excellent opportunity to join the professional team of the Child Development Centre, which provides therapeutic intervention services to children birth to 5 years of age. Working as part of a team, responsibilities include conducting formal and informal assessment, interventions and follow-up with children and their families in the areas of general development, social and emotional development, behaviour, and play. Provides counselling to parents related to child and/or child-parent relationships. Travel in Yukon is required. CDC is closed for two months in the summer; the position has a break in service during this time. Some work in the summer may be available.
Qualifications:
- Relevant master's degree, including course work in counseling
- Experience working in a cross-cultural setting
- Experience working with young children with developmental needs and families
- Knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies in the area of social-emotional and behavioural development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Salary Range:
Salary range is $44.25 to $53.83 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
This position is covered by the Public Service Alliance of Canada Collective Agreement.
