Are you passionate about horses and helping people? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where no two days are the same? PARDS is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Therapeutic Riding Instuctor to join our team as we continue to grow and strengthen our accredited therapeutic riding program.

This role is a true "all-hands-on-deck" position – perfect for someone who loves variety, teamwork, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of others.

What you'll do

  • Teach adaptive/therapeutic riding lessons for children, youth, and adults of all abilities
  • Support lesson preparation and barn operations, including horse care and facility upkeep
  • Assist with the training, care, and development of therapeutic horses
  • Work closely with volunteers, staff, and rider to ensure lessons are safe, professional, and fun
  • Promote an inclusive, supportive environment that reflects PARDS' mission and values

What we're Looking For

  • Knowledge and/or experience working with people with disabilities or diverse needs
  • Solid horsemanship skills; minimum Rider Level 2 (or equivalent experience)
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Willingness to pursue CanTRA Instructor certification (support and mentorship provided)
  • A team player with a positive attitude, adaptability, and a genuine love for horses and people

Details

  • Location: PARDS Therapeutic Riding Centre – Grande Prairie, AB
  • Hours: Part-time/Full-time (evenings/weekends may be required)
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$21.33 per hour
