Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Fishing Guide / Angler, to lead and educate clients on fishing excursions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for fishing, and the ability to provide memorable outdoor experiences. This role involves guiding groups, sharing expertise on local fishing spots, and ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants.

Duties

  • Lead fishing trips for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience
  • Provide expert guidance on fishing techniques, local fish species, and best practices
  • Educate clients on equipment use, safety procedures, and conservation efforts
  • Manage time effectively to adhere to scheduled trip times and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Maintain fishing gear, safety equipment, and boat cleanliness
  • Communicate effectively with diverse groups
  • Work supportively with the other multi-sport guides in the company
  • Foster a welcoming environment through excellent customer service and public speaking skills

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fishing or outdoor guiding preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to teach and engage diverse audiences
  • Excellent public speaking skills for guiding groups confidently
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
  • Effective time management skills to coordinate trips smoothly
  • Leadership qualities to manage groups responsibly and professionally
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift equipment as needed
  • Valid certifications or licenses related to fishing or boating are advantageous but not mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $250.00-$350.00 per day
