Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious General Laborer to join our pallet manufacturing team. This position involves operating woodworking equipment, including a radial arm saw, and assembling pallets using pneumatic nail guns. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a radial arm saw to cut lumber to specified dimensions
  • Assemble wooden pallets using pneumatic nail guns according to company standards
  • Read and follow pallet specifications, measurements, and production instructions
  • Inspect materials and finished pallets for quality and structural integrity
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with general labor duties such as material handling, stacking, and cleanup
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or material defects to supervisors

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or pallet environment is an asset
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a radial arm saw and pneumatic nail gun
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
