We are currently seeking a team member who exemplifies and believes in our values to join our team as an IT Support Specialist
This role is based out of our Hamilton location, and is 5 days/week on-site.
Position Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist provides support to the entire Morison Insurance Team.
- Assist users in troubleshooting common computer issues or concerns
- Reply to requests for information technology services, repairs, support, inquires or complaints
- Use a computer tracking system to manage new tickets
- Make recommendations to improve computer systems
- Provide documentation for customer support inquiries and resolutions
- Upgrade and manage systems to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently
- Implement new business and productivity software
- Train staff on new software, systems and best practices
- Maintain and back up security databases
- Other IT and admin tasks as required
Skills and Requirements For You To Succeed:
- Strong analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure integrity of both data and employment information
- Critical thinking skills and ability to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential/sensitive information
- Proven track record of setting priorities and consistently keeping commitments
- Strong Technical skills
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Some experience with server and desktop applications in a Microsoft networked environment would be beneficial
- Good initiative and self-starter skills.
- Has access to a vehicle and able to travel to other branches within the organization. (in office environment)
- Be willing to continue to upgrade education in the Information & Technology field
- Experience with MS365, EPIC and Microsoft Office 2016 is an asset
