Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to various projects.

Duties

  • Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites, ensuring all materials and tools are organized and readily available.
  • Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, painting, and other construction-related activities.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Perform basic measurements and calculations as needed for project specifications.
  • Help with loading and unloading materials from vehicles and transporting them to job sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
