As a student, you will build lasting relationships with industry leaders, and contribute to work that will build and strengthen your skill sets. Primary duties include:
- Assist with engineering drawing reviews, including design, as-built, and record drawings and documentation.
- Support the review and response to Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring all materials are accurately entered and maintained in the database.
- Assist with the reviewing and responding to submittals and filing them in the database.
- Complete site reviews, activities, take record photographs, and document progress of project activities.
- Help prepare capital-funded procurement documentation and project management record keeping.
- Support Right-of-Way drainage and other Light Rail Transit (LRT) infrastructure State of Good Repair assessments, including data analysis.
- Assist Construction Coordination Committee activities related to major impact work within the LRT Right-of-Way.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree program or a Civil Engineering Technician diploma program.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, other CAD Software, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Viso will be considered assets.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent), with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending OR; a valid Graduated Driver's Licence (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2026.
- A security clearance will be conducted.
- If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).
Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.
